Corn germ
The maize germ is the excreted ...part of the maize kernel. The germ is separated from the kernel by a ...wet method, which results in minimal damage to the germ itself and a higher fat content. The germ, which represents 8-14% of the mass of the maize kernel, accounts for 84-86% of . the fat contained in the maize. The germ is a raw material for the production of maize oil, as well as one of the components of maize fodder.
