By the way, the volume of sugar consumption in the country is 550 thousand tons, half of which is industrial demand. The bulk of this need is being met by the Zharkent starch plant. Today, during a working visit to Panfilov district, Governor of the region Beibut Isabayev got acquainted with the plans and projects for the development of this direction.

As it is known, the enterprise produces 75 thousand tons of corn syrup per year, providing large confectionery factories and beverage factories with the necessary products. In the near future - to double the power. In total, the plant produces 28 types of products with deep processing of 120 thousand tons of corn per year. As part of the expansion of the enterprise, it is planned to receive up to 200 thousand tons of corn. At the same time, the Governor of the region emphasized the need to encourage farmers.
