Zharkent Starch Plant, founded in 2005, has become one of the leading producers of starch and its processed products in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. This private Kazakh plant, located in the "heart" of corn fields in the Panfilov district of the Almaty region, successfully combines tradition and innovation, providing products of the highest quality.
History and Development
The Zharkent area has long been famous for its corn fields. However, the processing of this valuable raw material remained an unsolved problem for a long time. In 2005, thanks to the Presidential Decree on the development of the agricultural sector, the plant was completely restored and modernized. The company created 90 jobs and social facilities, which was an important step for the development of the region.
Since the revival, the plant has been actively increasing its capacity and expanding the range of products. In 2013, together with the Turkish company CIMSAN LTD and the world's leading equipment manufacturers Alfa Laval and ABP Gida San, a modern plant was built that meets international standards.
The production capacity of the plant has reached 150 tons of corn grain processing per day.

Products & Exports
Today, the plant offers a wide range of products, including modified starch, maltose and glucose syrups, gluten, corn oil and mixed feed. Particular attention is paid to glucose-fructose syrup, which has no analogues in Central Asia, which is produced using advanced technologies and does not contain artificial additives.
The plant provides 60% of its supplies to Kazakh companies such as Rakhat JSC, RG Brands LLP, and Carlsberg Kazakhstan LLP. The remaining 40% of production is exported to Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, China and Afghanistan

Zharkent Starch Plant actively invests in the development of its capacities and personnel.
In 2015, additional tanks for storing and soaking grain were purchased, which made it possible to increase processing to 300 tons of corn per day. The plant supports social initiatives and offers employees decent working conditions, including free hot meals and transport.

Production Process
